Going To The Gala
Come out and celebrate Winter Solstice in style! The Golden Gala will prove to be the event of the season. Performances by the UAF swing club, and Lathrop ballroom club…Food by Bobby’s Downtown, River City Cafe and Red Couch and a Full cash bar provided by Lavelle’s Bistro are among the features we have planned. Check out the concept drawings of how we will transform the Morris Thompson Center into the Golden Gala.

What: 1959 themed party – It’s Alaska’s 5oth and Winter Solstice (a good reason to celebrate). 50’s Fairbanks meets 50’s Hollywood is what we aim for…
When: Monday December 21, 2009 – Doors open @ 8pm
Why: Our goal is to bring more happening events to downtown, promote community and the arts and showcase that downtown Fairbanks is a viable venue for future growth. The Golden Gala is our catalyst project.
Who: Three individuals who are passionate about the downtown we have and the downtown that can be.
